R – Respect (Whakaute)
Respect is the foundation of our school culture. It begins with valuing ourselves, our peers, and our staff. We foster an environment where everyone feels safe and heard, extending that same care to our school grounds and the wider community.
E – Expect (Tūmanako)
We empower our students to set high standards for themselves. To "Expect" means having the self-discipline to do the right thing and the mindset to strive for excellence in everything we do—from the classroom to the sports field.
A – Achieve (Tutukitanga)
At IPS, achievement is a personal journey. We celebrate the "summit" moments, but we value the grit and perseverance it takes to get there. We encourage every student to reach their personal best and take pride in their progress.
C – Communicate (Whakawhitiwhiti Kōrero)
Effective communication is vital in our modern world. We teach our students to share their ideas clearly, listen with empathy, and use their voices with kindness. Whether in person or online, we strive for interactions that build bridges, not barriers.
H – Hauora (Well-being)
The "heart" of our framework is Hauora. We believe that for a child to learn, they must be whole. We nurture the physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being of our students, ensuring they have the emotional strength and balance to thrive in all areas of life.
