Mini Moa is our transition to school programme for 4 year olds, in Te Kōhanga Moa, Inglewood.
We invite whānau and tamariki to join our New Entrant (Moa Iti) class on a Thursday from 8.45am until 10am on weeks 2,4,6, & 8 of each term. Please bring a healthy snack to enable your child to join the other students at healthy snack time.
Unfortunately, no other children can attend the visits with you due to the possible disruption to the class. You must stay with your child for the duration of the visit as this is a legal requirement from the Ministry of Education. We would suggest up to three visits before your child starts and no earlier than the term prior to your child beginning school. Please book these visits with the school office.
This is an opportunity to become familiar with the school and the classroom environment. Students in the Junior school belong to the PANITAHI WHĀNAU.
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
Your child’s social and emotional readiness.
Ask plenty of questions.
Communication between Early Learning Centre, Whānau and Schools.
What does the new kaiako need to know about your child?
Support for your child.
