We are incredibly proud to be one of the few full primary schools in our region. By staying with us from age five through the end of Year 8, our students enjoy a seamless educational journey. This continuity means our intermediates stay focused and confident in an environment where they are already known and valued.
In their final years, our Year 7 and 8 students step up as the heart of our school. They aren't just students; they are role models and leaders who give back to the community that helped raise them.
Intermediate School Highlights:
High school Tech: Hands-on, covering everything from hard materials like woodwork to sewing, cooking & design technology. Just 1 minute up the road, students are bussed to the high school weekly
Student Led Projects: Electives that allow students to dive deep into what truly sparks their curiosity.
Leadership: Around school there are many opportunities to practice leadership, with REACH leaders, School Council and Whānau Leaders. Also we are about service with librarians, peer mediators, sports, ICT, road patrol and office duties.
Tuakana-Teina: Building meaningful bonds by mentoring students in our whānau system and junior classes.
The Year 8 Experience: There is always excitement around the Year 7&8 Camps, Yearbook completion and our Year 8 Graduation Ball.
